The night falls gentle upon the earth but hard within the heart as the shadow falls across.Clenched fists, tousled curls,drawn up limbs, eyes squeezed shut against the scene about to unfold.God sent me to you to melt your cold heart and to give your life a new start.All I wanted was just a bundle of love, sent from heaven above.I tried But I just could not melt your cold heart.And as you held me that day,all I heard were the awful words you begin to say.I felt the blows and I felt the pain.It cut me deep and it seems to take forever just for it to heal.And whenever you do it again,it frightens me much more.Flashbacks of the past stuck in my head and inadvertently reminds me of those terrible things over and over again.
